The Group is seeking a qualified and experienced person as HEAD OF INVESTMENT BANKING & ASSET MANAGEMENT

The decision has been made to transform the business by taking a more integrated approach to non-banking financial services (investment banking, asset management private equity etc.) and creating an integrated Investment Banking and Asset Management business, with a view to maximizing synergies with the Bank, including leveraging existing strong relationships and exploiting under-tapped opportunities to grow the business.

Job Description
• The successful candidate will be responsible for driving the formulation and execution of Investment Banking and Asset Management business strategy.
• He or she will also be responsible for managing all aspects of the Investment Banking and Asset Management business, including the creation of one business platform, building a team to execute the vision and ultimately financial performance of the business.
• It is of great importance that the individual not only possesses an entrepreneurial spirit but a coherent strategic vision, coupled with the management expertise to deliver on this vision.
• The applicants must possess the technical skills set required to operate at a senior level in investment banking.

Qualification and Requirement
Applications are welcomed from candidates with the following attributes:
• Good 1st degree, with preferably relevant post graduate qualification and/or MBA.
• Minimum 15 years relevant investment banking/asset management experience with at least 5 years at executive management level.
• Good knowledge of Emerging Markets and international financial and business environments.
• Experience of operating in Sub-Saharan Africa would be an advantage.
